African diplomats visit Guizhou

About 29 young diplomats from 29 African countries explored the poverty alleviation work, ecological environment, big data development, and entrepreneurship in Southwest China's Guizhou province on May 13.

Over the next few days, these diplomats will visit the tea gardens in Meitan county, the Zunyi Conference site in Zunyi, and the big data pilot zone in Guiyang.

According to Li Zhigang, counselor of the Foreign Ministry's department of African affairs, the activity is organized according to the agreements made at the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

The activity is expected to become a new form of cultural communication between China and Africa, building a bridge between Chinese youths, Africa-related companies, and young diplomats from Africa.
