China Unicom -- one of the country's major telecom operators -- demonstrated cutting-edge applications for 5G technology during an open day event in Hohhot, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 13.
A 5G call was made during the event, marking the first of its kind in Inner Mongolia.
Seven exhibition halls focused on 5G applications in fields including intelligent home furnishings, communications security, and E-sports competitions, offering novel and exciting experiences for visitors.
An “intelligent motorcade” from the telco was unveiled on the day. The motorcade consisted of 15 network security vehicles from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei province and Liaoning province.
The applications and solutions China Unicom showcased will help users in Inner Mongolia to learn more about 5G technology.
