Nansha unveils intelligent driving demonstration project

Guangzhou Nansha New District Pearl Bay Development and Construction Authority implemented a public bidding for the construction and procurement project of Lingshan Island Pointed Area Intelligent Driving Demonstration Section of Pearl Bay Starting Area in Nansha on May 13.

The demonstration section starts from the Pearl Bay Square Exhibition Center Plaza and runs around a ring road.

It goes through Jiangling North Road, Zongsan Road and Jiangling South Road. Finally, it returns to the Pearl Bay Exhibition Center Plaza on the original route. The total length of the route is about seven kilometers.

Stops can also be added on the main line according to demand, and the intelligent driving plan are displayed. It plans to open appointments for the visitors to the Pearl Bay Exhibition Center.

The reservation method includes using the existing platform to carry the function or enabling the smart driving display experience APP, which will be decided once the procurement bidding unit is determined.

The project focuses on the exploration of intelligent driving information acquisition applications and display support technologies based on road infrastructure through the application of new generation information technology represented by the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

It supports one-click appointment of an intelligent driving vehicle, scheduling the vehicle to wait at the starting point of the ride.
