Canton Tower Science & Technology Conference to open in Oct

The Canton Tower Science & Technology Conference, an event focusing on artificial intelligence and innovation, will open its 2019 edition in Guangzhou from Oct 11 to 12.

The conference will bring the world's most innovative ideas and technologies to Guangzhou. It will also attract enterprises, manufacturers, and scientific research institutions to invest and settle in Guangzhou for further development, according to Shi Pengfei, deputy inspector of the Guangzhou science, technology and innovation commission, which will jointly host the conference with IDG Asia.

This year's conference will feature one main forum, 14 parallel forums, a closed think tank meeting, and an awards ceremony. Concentrating on the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area which was issued in February by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, the conference will discuss the future development of artificial intelligence from the multi-faceted perspectives of technology, industry, and policy, and how it will factor in the economic development of the Greater Bay Area.

Officials from the industrial, commercial, economic, scientific, educational, and government levels in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao will attend the forums to formulate blueprints for the Greater Bay Area. High-ranking political leaders, business and academic leaders, representatives of top capital institutions, as well as innovation and entrepreneurial new forces will also gather to discuss and share insights on the new directions of research, new trends in capital, and new developments in enterprises.
