Quzhou firm wins first prize of provincial science and technology

Five projects undertaken by Quzhou companies won prizes from the Zhejiang Science and Technology Award Conference on May 14, local media reported.

The catalyst and new refrigerant synthesis technology developed by Zhejiang Quhua Fluor-Chemistry co won the first prize.

The newly-developed catalyst overcame the shortcomings of the traditional one: rapid loss of activity and short life and reduces the greenhouse gas emission by 97 percent.

The second prize went to the multilayer fluorine alloy membrane back sheet for solar components developed by Zhejiang Green New Materials Co, whose weather resistance and flame retardant property outperform its counterparts.

The third prize winners were dealcohol silicone rubber by Zhejiang Zhongtian Fluorine Silicon Co, disc valves of sustainable restoration by Zhejiang Gute Pneumatic Machinery Co, and pad printing paper base material by Zhejiang Jiaweikang Specialty Paper Co.
