The rare earth industry in Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has recorded sound development, with the output of magnetic materials maintaining a growth rate of more than 30 percent over five consecutive years, according to a May 15 report in the Baotou Daily.
The zone’s magnetic materials production capacity has reached 45,000 tons, and its raw materials conversion capacity has hit 100 percent.
This year, the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is aiming to build what it calls China's “Magnetic Valley” – as well as promote the formation of rare earth magnetic materials production, post-processing and applications industry clusters, focusing on the advancement of 30 key projects related to magnetic materials.
