4. "Pohui" Festival
The "Pohui" festival is a traditional folk festival for the Miao people to mourn their ancestors, pray for blessings, and visit their relatives and friends. It is celebrated twice a year, namely on the 16th day of the first month and the eighth month of the lunar year. Dressed in festive costumes, the Miao ethnic group celebrates the festival with a variety of activities such as a reed-pipe wind instrument competition, dragon and lion dances, horse fighting, and horse racing.
