The Hohhot Baita International Airport launched regular flights to Hong Kong and Yangon, Myanmar on May 10 and 11, respectively, according to local media reports.
Flights to Hong Kong will be offered by China Eastern Airlines on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and flights to Yangon will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The new routes will help save time for passengers and boost air traffic between Hohhot, Hong Kong, and Yangon.
The routes are also expected to promote cultural and business exchanges between Inner Mongolia and Southeast Asia.
According to the Hohhot Baita International Airport, it plans to continue establishing ties with more cities to better connect Inner Mongolia with the rest of the world.
