A forum themed on aerospace technologies and big data was held in Yantai from May 7 to 8, attracting more than 1,100 experts, academicians and government officials.
The forum, focused on aerospace technologies and artificial intelligence, aimed to provide a platform in technical exchange and industrial development based on the industrial and regional advantages in Yantai.
During the two-day forum, experts delivered keynote speeches on how to promote aerospace and marine technologies as well as integrated technology innovation.
Fei Aiguo, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, noted that aerospace and marine sectors are playing a greater role in promoting technology-driven economic development. The forum made full use of the expert think tank to help promote integrated technology innovation, he added.
At the forum, the Yantai High-tech Zone signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China Academy of Command and Control and China Geovis Co, a high-tech company engaging in aerospace data systems and services.
Yantai, a coastal city, has made great development in integrated industries. It boasts abundant aerospace and marine resources. In recent years, it has built a series of technology transformation platforms such as Aerospace Science Park and some production bases.
Yantai will further promote industry-university-research cooperation and talent exchange and cultivate development of the city's integrated technological innovation, according to Yantai Mayor Zhang Dailing.
