Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province was rewarded with the highest honor "Dayu Ding" for its achievements in river management by provincial government.
In 2018 Quzhou's river management scored a total of 982.39 points, the highest among Zhejiang cities and local residents' satisfaction also topped the whole province.
Seven industrial parks, 16 communities and 11 towns or sub districts in Quzhou have realized the zero discharge of wastewater, 12 rivers have been recognized as municipal-level beautiful lakes and Jiangxiyan Irrigation System was listed as world heritage site of irrigation engineering in the same year.
In addition, the outstanding performance of the city's Qujiang district, Longyou county and Jiangshan county-level city in river chief system were also awarded with "Dayu Ding".
