Gree ranked China's top-value home appliance brand

Gree Electric Appliances of Zhuhai has the highest brand value in the domestic household appliance industry and is ranked second in light industry, it was announced at a 2019 China Brand Evaluation press conference in Shanghai on May 9.

Gree, the world's largest air conditioner manufacturer, has brand value of 104 billion yuan ($15.2 billion) and scored 943 in further assessments of brand strength.

A total of 1,293 brands were assessed in accordance with strict international and national evaluation rules. In all, 598 brands representing a combined value of 7.42 trillion yuan ($1 trillion), made the final list.

Gree chairwoman and president Dong Mingzhu said the company enhances brand competitiveness through independent innovation and uses a model ensuring "perfect quality," which is strictly and consistently followed. Gree's motto is "Made in China, Loved by the World."

The ranking was sponsored by Xinhua News Agency, the Economic Daily, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Council for Brand Development, China Appraisal Society, and other organizations to celebrate Chinese Brands Day on May 10.
