The industrial park invested by a Suzhou New District-based company in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, started operation on May 11.
Jiangsu Jidabang Agriculture and Forestry Industry Holding Group invested $800 million in establishing the Suzhou Indonesia Ketapang Industrial Cooperative Park in 2016 with an overall floorage of nearly 1 million square meters.
According to park president Yu Xueyuan, as of this April the first phase of the park was already in service.
A total of 27 companies have gone into operation with an expected annual production value of $300 million.
Customs inspection, commodity inspection, finance, commerce, hotels and other supporting facilities are available at the industrial park.
The Jiangsu Jidabang Agriculture and Forestry Industry Holding Group cooperated with Suzhou-based Der Group in constructing the Indonesia Ketapang Smart Home Science Park this year.
With an investment of nearly $450 million, the 370,000 square meter science park includes two areas, one for intelligent manufacturing and another for headquarters installations, which will introduce 100 companies after completion in 2022.
The two industrial parks will offer 80,000 full-time jobs and their annual output value will hit $5 billion.
At the launching ceremony, Suzhou New District established a sister-city relationship with Ketapang county in Indonesia.
