Opened on Aug 19, 2012, Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot in Tongliao, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is a historic site where Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang was born and grew up.
Xiaozhuang was a consort of Hong Taiji, an emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). As empress dowager and grand empress dowager during the reigns of her son and grandson, she had significant influence in the Qing imperial court and was highly respected for her political wisdom and insight.

The scenic spot covers 667 hectares, with the major highlights being Xiaozhuang's former residence, Xiaozhuang Museum and Bailong Lake. Xiaozhuang's former residence was rebuilt on the original site in 2008 as the original one was destroyed in 1947.
