The main summit of 2019 New-gen Manufacturing Conference of Xuelang Town took place in Wuxi Taihu New City in East China's Jiangsu province on May 10.
A number of Wuxi governors, experts and heads of leading Chinese manufacturing enterprises attended the main summit, including COMAC (the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co, Wuxi-based garment giant Hodo Group and baby product company Goodbaby Group.
Wuxi Party Secretary Li Xiaomin spoke highly of the achievements the first New-gen Manufacturing Conference has made in the last year and expressed his gratitude to all participants.
Li thought intelligent manufacturing efficient in promoting the high-quality development of the economy, which is reconstructing the mode of production, reestablishing the value of data, redefining the position of software and changing "consumption internet" to "industrial internet".
The algorithm model of Xuelang Cloud has improved the accuracy of predictive maintenance for bromine cold equipment at Wuxi-based Shuangliang Group from 50 percent to 90 percent. Shuangliang's response speeds regarding operation and maintenance services have risen by once or twice over.
Xuelang Cloud, a national industrial internet platform developed in Xuelang Town, has helped plenty of local enterprises to realize digitalization and upgrading.
Wuxi city not only has a strong manufacturing base but is also a leader in developing new technologies and has hosted the World Internet of Things Expo for three years.
As of now, the city is home to more than 2,000 IoT related enterprises, providing over 260 billion yuan ($38.2 billion) in income in 2018, accounting for almost half of the total in Jiangsu province and 25 percent across the whole country.
Li called for more manufacturing enterprises to join hands in Xuelang Town and become new industrialists and innovators in the digital age.
