Shanghai Pudong International Talent Hub in Pudong New Area welcomed its first large-scale talent job fair for foreign students on May 8 since opening in April, local media reported.
The fourth special recruitment fair for foreign graduate students in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone gathered nearly 200 foreign hopefuls from famous global universities at home and abroad, including Fudan University, Tongji University and New York University Shanghai, to seek job opportunities in the free trade zone.
Fifty-three major players and emerging startups in the areas of intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine and integrated circuits were on the lookout for potential new recruits, with 211 positions on offer.
A total of 190 foreign job seekers reached initial agreements of cooperation at the fair.
Since it opened in April 11, Shanghai Pudong International Talent Hub has actively built up platforms for talent exchange.
In the future, it will look to increase the talent pool with more diversified and quality activities with international influence so as to provide solid ground for the development of Shanghai FTZ and Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, said the organizer.
Held consecutively for four years, the special recruitment fair for foreign graduate students has developed into a golden calling card for Pudong New Area to attract high-caliber overseas personnel.
