The Exit-Entry Administration of the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau recently launched a series of preferential policies to support foreign trade and cultural communications with countries along the Belt and Road.
According to the policies, which take effect on May 1, Shenyang authorities will open a green channel for those who need to apply for exit-entry certificates.
Shenyang authorities will first provide expedited services for applicants, shortening application times and handing visa applications during non-working days. Meanwhile, the exit-entry administration will open a temporary group application counter for companies with applications for multiple people.
For foreigners from countries along the Belt and Road invited to attend important events, meetings, or projects in China and who don't have enough time to apply for a Chinese visa at their local consulate, the Shenyang Exit-Entry Administration will grant them port visas allowing them to apply for a visa at the entry port via Chinese central or provincial authorities.
For experts from countries along the Belt and Road (as well as their immediate family members), who plan to live in Shenyang to work, study, or be near family, Shenyang authorities will issue a residence permit within 5 working days, as opposed to the regular 15 working days.
