Nanning will purchase 200 new energy buses and phase out 20 diesel buses before Oct 20, the city's transport bureau announced on May 6.
A total of 186 charging poles will also be built throughout the city this year. Local finance authorities will subsidize 30 percent of the construction fee, and the amount won't exceed 120,000 yuan ($17,723) per charging pole.
Currently, more and more new energy vehicles can be found on the streets of Nanning. Not only are they environmentally friendly, but they are increasing user-friendly with facilities such as armrests for courtesy seats, anti-skid mats in the disabled zone, automatic warnings of fatigue driving, and passenger flow statistical systems.
