A forum was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on May 7 to further implement the national strategy of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.
As an important part of the 2019 Wuxi Conference of Talents and Innovation, the forum also aimed at building a G42 Huning talents and innovation corridor for talents and innovation in the cities along the G42 Huning (Shanghai-Nanjing) Expressway.
Wuxi will give full play to its unique advantages in luring experts and talents from home and abroad. And the establishment of a G42 Huning talents and innovation corridor is expected to improve the policies in industrial development and talent support in cities along the corridor, according to Feng Jun, member of the Wuxi municipal Party standing committee and director of the Wuxi organization department.
During the forum, a talents and innovation service alliance for the G42 Huning corridor, consisting of 13 enterprises, institutes and organizations, including the Shanghai Pudong Association of Returned Overseas Scholars, was established.
Besides, the South Reviews Yangtze River Delta Research Institute was launched in a bid to serve as a think tank for the high-quality development of Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta region.
