Suzhou Innovation Park joins hands with foreign language school

Suzhou Foreign Language School recently established two bases in the Suzhou Innovation Park, local media reported.

According to the cooperation agreement inked between the two sides, Suzhou Foreign Language School set up an innovation and venture base for outstanding graduates and a practice base in the Suzhou Innovation Park.

The innovation park will establish close relations with the alumni association of Suzhou Foreign Language School to offer the school's graduates services of workplaces, policy consultation, project application and sci-tech loans if they intend to start a business in the Suzhou New District.

In order to improve students' abilities in creative thinking and cultivate their entrepreneurial spirit, the park has selected founders of some of its excellent companies to tutor them.

In addition, the two sides will work together to solve the problem of enrollment for the children of high-level talents in the Suzhou New District.

Founded in 1994, the Suzhou Innovation Park housed the first group of national high-tech business incubators in China and became a national innovation park for returnees.

The park to date has introduced more than 18,000 hi-tech talents, cultivated over 1,800 tech companies and completed more than 1,600 sci-tech projects.

Among the tech companies, Canadian Solar Inc, Neway Valve (Suzhou) Co, and Suzhou TFC Optical Communication Co have successfully gone public and grown into leading businesses in their respective industries.
