Zhujiang Hospital is the second affiliated hospital of Southern Medical University. Founded in 1947, it is a large comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive healthcare. 

The hospital covers nearly 50,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 170,000 sq m. It has 2,300 beds, 58 professional departments and 35 teaching and research rooms. The hospital has 23 national and provincial key clinical specialties, one national key cultivation discipline, one key discipline of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 10 national training bases and two provincial medical quality control centers.

Founded in 1985, the hospital's Yiqiao Medical Service Center was the earliest window for providing medical services overseas. It has treated more than 200,000 patients from more than 50 countries and regions. Its personalized high-end medical service is highly praised by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, overseas Chinese and foreigners.
