Changchun marathon approaches

The 2019 Changchun International Marathon will be held in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on May 26, according to an announcement made at a press conference on April 29.

Hosted by the Chinese Athletic Association and the Changchun municipal government and organized by the Changchun Sports Administration, the event will be sponsored by Hongqi, a brand of China's leading automaker, the Changchun-based FAW Group.

The event will include a full marathon (42.195 kilometers), a half-marathon (21.0975 km), a mini marathon (5 km) and a 10-km run. The full marathon will begin and end at the Changchun Sports Center.

Around 30,000 runners are expected to participate in this year's event, which is the third time it has been held in Changchun.
