An oil painting exhibition was unveiled on May 4 in the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone, displaying about 100 works created by Russian painters.
Jointly organized by the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone and the China-Russia Regional Cooperation Park in Qingdao, the exhibition was supported by the Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism, the foreign affairs office of Shandong government, the Qingdao municipal government and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China.
Zhang Leina, deputy head of the Qingdao West Coast New Area, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
A key project of Belt and Road cooperation between China and Russia, the Qingdao Sino-Russian cooperation park shoulders the responsibility of promoting exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and arts, Zhang said.
She added that the exhibition offers a cultural feast for local residents and will promote more mutual exchanges and cooperation in the future.
By strengthening mutual cultural exchanges and cooperation, we can deepen the strategic partnership between China and Russia and promote mutual trust and friendship, said a representative from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China.
The exhibition will last until May 17.
An art creation base for Russian painters was also established in the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone.
