Harbin Sunac Land, an amusement park in the Songbei district in the city of Harbin, kicked off its summer entertainment program for the public on May 1.
The outdoor theme park was decorated with colorful balloons for the May Day holiday, forming the shapes of a castle, the ocean, a desert, forest and a snow mountain.
Organizers said a total of 28 large-scale entertainment facilities -- satisfying the needs of tourists of different ages – began operating, bringing fun and thrills to visitors.
Some 20 performances, including a play for kids called The Snow Queen and a musical called Lilac Wonderland, were staged during the three-day holiday.
In addition to trying out exciting outdoor entertainment activities, tourists also had the chance to experience the thrills of winter sports in the summer, with the reopening on April 1 of an indoor skiing resort with upgraded ski runs.
Meanwhile, there were more than 10 restaurants offering a variety of cuisines and 20 stores sold local cultural products.
