Chinese Youth Games torch relay kicks off in Shanxi province

TAIYUAN, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The second Chinese National Youth Games torch relay kicked off on Saturday in China's northwestern city of Yuncheng, Shanxi province.

The torch relay online started on March 28 after the organizing committee held a torch lighting ceremony at a relics park named Xihoudu in Yuncheng.

After the 33-day online torch relay , which passed through 33 provinces, the Games torch relay started its real relay from Yuncheng.

The National Youth Games, which will be staged in Shanxi in August, is one of the largest national multi-sport event in China in 2019.
