A direct flight has been launched between Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and Moscow, the Hohhot airport said.
The air route is operated by Russia's I-FLY Airlines. Planes take off every Sunday and are scheduled to transport 2,000 passengers every month.
In July last year, Inner Mongolia launched a seasonal air route to Moscow. The direct flight will be the first regular direct route between the two cities.
The Hohhot Baita International airport said the route would be part of efforts to increase the region's connectivity with countries in the north.
