The 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition opened in Beijing on April 29 and the Guangdong garden featuring bonsais, a pavilion, and the province's intangible cultural heritages attracted a large number of visitors.
Nanyueyuan, literally meaning "Guangdong Garden", covers an area of over 2,500 square meters. It pays attention to the use of flowers and trees in the traditional Lingnan style, while integrating local cultural elements such as Chaozhou woodcarving and Foshan ceramics. The distinctive outdoor garden hosted a whopping total of more than 10,000 visitors on its opening day.
With the participation of more than 110 countries and international organizations, the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition is an ideal platform for highlighting the importance of and promoting the concept of "Live Green, Live Better", which is this year's theme.
