A new rail line connecting downtown Hangzhou and the city's Lin'an district was officially unveiled on April 29.
The 35-kilometer Hangzhou-Lin'an line, which starts from Jiuzhou Street in Lin'an district and ends on Luting Road in Yuhang district, will shorten the time required to travel between the two areas to half an hour.
The line will open at the end of the year and will be able to accommodate a maximum speed of 120km/h.
As Hangzhou's first rail line connecting the downtown area to the outer suburbs, the line is designed to speed up Hangzhou's urbanization process.
Ten out of 12 stations along the route have completed construction on their main bodies.
