Shanxi to build static traffic system in St. Petersburg

Shanxi-based Shanxi Weaver Smart Science and Technology Co plans to build a static traffic system for St. Petersburg, Russia. The two parties agreed to partner up at a trade and economic cooperation meeting between them on April 24. 

The company will first spend 100 million yuan ($14.84 million) on building smart parking lots throughout the city. It will also install an electronic toll collection system in the parking lots to increase efficiency, as the majority of parking lots in St. Petersburg still rely on cards to collect tolls. 

Shanxi Weaver is committed to the research, development, and application of a citywide static traffic big data platform, city information modeling technology, and big data for urban building. Its ultimate goal is to ease traffic congestion and make parking easier.
