Big health industry to rise in Guangxi

A signing ceremony between Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics was held in Beijing on April 27, attended by a number of government leaders and media delegates.

Liu Weilin, chairman of the association, stated that the two sides will work together to launch a 6+N strategic cooperation mode, and deepen all-round cooperation and exchanges to achieve accelerated development in Guangxi's senior care and health industry.

Boasting an eco-friendly environment and unique geographical advantages, Guangxi is expected to foster its senior care industry, and develop it into one of Guangxi's strategic emerging industries, as well as make the region a national industrial base senior care services, as well as an international resort for health and recreation, according to Qin Rupei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

After the signing ceremony, attendees and experts took part in a symposium on the development of Guangxi's big health industry, and gave suggestions on the development trends of the health and longevity tourism industry.

Qin added that Guangxi will be committed to exploring its unique advantages in geography, ecology, longevity, and tourism resources to promote the transformation and upgrading of Guangxi's big health industry, as well as pursue mutually beneficial cooperation to achieve common development for both sides.
