Haimen, the county-level city under the administration of Nantong, in eastern Jiangsu province, was honored as one of the top 100 counties recognized for its innovation -- according to a list recently released by tech news website www.stdaily.com and the National Science and Technology Revitalization Urban Economic Research Association.
The list was compiled based on the Science and Technology Innovation Index, which seeks to systematically evaluate a candidate’s environment for innovation, innovation services, innovation financing, innovation subjects, and innovation effectiveness.
The evaluation index system for science and technological innovation in small and medium-sized cities includes four indicators: innovation and entrepreneurship platform construction, research and development potential, the vitality of scientific and technological innovation and scientific and achievements in technological innovation.
Haimen ranked 13th on the list.
