Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province will stage the first Zhijiang International Youth Art Festival from May 24 to June 10, local media reported.
With a slogan of "Veni, Vidi, We Young", the week-long cultural event will gather over 3,000 artists from around the country to attend more than 40 cultural activities including exhibitions, musical performances, forums, workshops, and street markets at the Xiangshan Art Commune, a hub for the international exchange of art and creative industries in Hangzhou.
One of the highlights of the festival will be an art exhibition featuring 2019 graduates of the China Academy of Art (CAA) and Zhejiang Conservatory of Music.
The art event is expected to develop a strong global reach and boost the cultural industry in Hangzhou, said Gao Shiming, vice-president of the CAA.
