A free bookstore operating until midnight opened in the city of Harbin, in northeastern Heilongjiang province, on April 23.
The bookstore, located at 133 Xidazhi Street, in Nangang district, is the first of its type in the city. It runs from 8am to midnight every day.
The bookstore comprises two floors, covering an area of 1,100 square meters and providing 300 reading seats. Around 30,000 books on classic literature, celebrity biographies, lifestyle books, bestsellers and children's books are available for readers, to satisfying the different tastes and needs of readers.
In addition, the bookstore launched an online book lending service, allowing readers to borrow books at any time.
