Transport at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

Located in Huli district, Xiamen city, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is about 16 kilometers from the urban area.

Xiamen Gaoqi Airport was put into use in 1983. By September 2017, it had launched 182 domestic and international routes to 109 cities around the world, including Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin in Heilongjiang province, Sanya in Hainan province, Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, Osaka in Japan, Seoul and Inchon in South Korea, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, and Seattle in the United States.

Terminal Building 3, constructed in 1996, covers 129,800 square meters, while the Terminal Building 4, which came into service in December 2014, occupies an area of 108,000 sq m. The airport allows a total annual throughput of 27 million persons.
