More than 40 high-tech companies recently showcased their latest products at a technology expo in Tianan Cyber Park in Gangzha district.
The exhibits focused on intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, environmental protection, and new materials. Products included virtual reality simulators, graphene that can be applied to daily necessities, and printers for industrial materials.
"We plan to hold the expo annually to allow more high-tech and innovative companies and startups communicate with each other," said Liu Haifeng, deputy general manager of Tianan Cyber Park Development Co.
Tianan Cyber Park, an enterprise incubator in the Gangzha Economic Development Area, has attracted around 200 micro, small, and medium-sized tech enterprises and incubated 88 listed companies. It is a major engine for new-generation information-driven industrial development in Gangzha district.
To help deal with financing problems for startups, the Gangzha Economic Development Area established an entrepreneurship foundation in November 2015 with an upfront fund of 10 million yuan ($1.49 million). The foundation has supported 17 projects so far.
A special exhibition room for tech entrepreneurship projects will be established in Tianan Cyber Park to showcase the Gangzha Economic Development Area's strength in technological innovation, according to Gu Xiaoping, project manager of the foundation.
