The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Academician Innovation Alliance was established in Nansha on April 21.
The alliance was initiated by 22 organizations and institutions such as the Guangdong Academician Association, major universities and research institutes.
The alliance’s duties include communication and exchanges between experts, and lectures on scientific development.

It will promote the technological innovation and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the Greater Bay Area, and strengthen the exchange of high-end scientific and technological talents.

The alliance signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Nansha Development Zone.
In addition, the academicians discussed the challenges and responsibilities of the construction of the International Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Greater Bay Area.
Guangzhou will provide a full range of services to academicians and experts in accordance with the requirements of the government.
"I came to Nansha several times and felt that the change was great," Academician Sun Yu said, "Nansha should establish its own internet research team for long-term development."
In the future, the alliance will also hold activities such as academician innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, which will take the projects of the academicians as an opportunity to promote the development of the Greater Bay Area.
