Zhanjiang enhances intellectual property protection

The World Intellectual Property Day, a yearly celebration of IP's role in stimulating innovation and creativity, will be observed worldwide on April 26 and Zhanjiang is holding numerous activities to mark the special event.

The activities began on April 20 and in the following seven days, special promotion events on IP protection, IP protection trainings, and law enforcement activities will be conducted in Zhanjiang Customs, Guangdong Ocean University, and Lingnan Normal University. These activities aim to further improving the awareness of intellectual property use and protection in enterprises and throughout all of society. 

At Kaide Square, Zhanjiang Municipal Intermediate People's Court, Zhanjiang Municipal Procuratorate, the city's public security, market supervision, and the press and publication bureaus have set up booths where staff members are working hard to promote the knowledge of IP application and protection for citizens by answering their questions on patents, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as giving away IP protection pamphlets to the public.
