China National Coal Group Corporation (ChinaCoal)

China National Coal Group Corporation (China Coal Group), previously known as China National Coal Import and Export Corporation which was established in July 1982, is the key state-owned enterprise under the Sate-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. China Coal Group’s core businesses comprise: coal production and trade, coal chemical, pit-mouth power generation, coal mine construction, coal mining equipment manufacturing and relevant engineering technical services.

China Coal Group, a large coal producer in China, presently has 70 coal mines with the total production capacity of 300 million tons which are mainly distributed in provinces and autonomous regions such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Anhui, Heilongjiang as well as Xinjiang.

In the past several years, coal enterprises encountered operation difficulties against the backdrop of GDP growth slowdown, severe oversupply of coal mining capacity, volatile fluctuation of coal market. Thanks to the correct leadership of the Sate-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Coal Group fully implemented the guidelines of 18th National Congress of the Communist Party and subsequent plenary sessions. By upholding the general guideline of making progress while keeping stability, China Coal Group carefully performed various tasks concerning stable growth, structural adjustment and reform promotion, emphasized the market development, accelerated structural adjustment, strengthened safety supervision, tapped the potentialities and improved efficiency, promoted management enhancement, deepened reform and innovation, preformed social responsibility, which resulted in new progress and achievement in production operation and reform development.

Looking into the future, China Coal Group will strive to double the revenue compared to that of 2015, realizing the objective of establishing clean energy supplier and energy comprehensive service provider by the end of 2025.

Safe, Healthy, and Environmental Protection

Sticking to the philosophy of “people oriented, develop with safety”, China Coal Group has been advocating the intrinsic safe managing system, by strengthening staff training, perfecting the regulations and rules, augmenting the inputs, improving the equipment, to promote the construction of safety quality standardization and safety culture, and to advance the perfection of safety management.

The group focuses on developing its economy harmoniously with the environment, dedicates to constructing “Green China Coal”, and tries the best to build itself as an enterprise of resources saving and environmental friendly.

Specifically, China Coal has been improving occupational sanitation, and advancing the construction of occupational health management system, strengthening occupational risk prevention and management, establishing and perfecting occupational risk controlling facilities at mine sites, actively undertaking the educational training on occupational health care, providing the workers the labour safety products free of charge, regularly offering health examination and recover treatment for employees who have constant access to occupational risks, like coal dusts, high temperature, and poisonous gas etc., to create good working environment and conditions for its staffs.
