A group comprised of more than 100 domestic and overseas experts, as well as universities students, visited Luoyi village in Chengmai, Hainan province during the Hainan Chengmai Luoyi Village International Innovation Carnival from April 13 to 16.
With a goal of revitalizing the Hainan village, the group conducted research and discussed development plans based on the experience of redeveloping traditional old towns in the Yangtze River Delta, as well as balanced urban and rural development and sustainable development in developed countries. The measures will also be adjusted to local conditions.
Si Naichao, deputy secretary of Chengmai's Party committee, said that the activity will lead to innovative results that will act as a significant reference.
Chengmai will also make full use of the achievements to mobilize redevelopment models for old villages and become a vivid example in Hainan's rural revitalization.
