The CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee held a meeting on April 15 for the preparation of the 2019 Big Data Expo, which will be held this May in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
According to the meeting, the expo has received attention from the big data industry, and is expected to improve the development of the big data industry and poverty alleviation efforts in Guizhou.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China, which endows the 2019 Big Data Expo with great significance. With the goal of developing it expo into an international event and world-class platform, the expo will coordinate guest invitation, activity arrangement, and publishing results to guarantee a high quality event.
The meeting emphasized that Guizhou should accelerate the construction of a national big data comprehensive pilot area, support existing big data companies while attracting more to the province, and strengthen the introduction of talents in high-tech fields like big data.
Guizhou should also integrate big data with efforts related to the real economy, rural revitalization, education, medical treatment, transportation, tourism, and social governance to better serve its residents and achieve greater development in the big data industry.
