A flower festival opened at Slender West Lake in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 8. The event will last for a month, ending on May 8.
More than 100 kinds of flowers, including cherry blossoms, tulips and peonies, will bloom throughout the month, providing visitors with some truly breathtaking scenes.
In addition to the flowers, various activities will take place at the park, including traditional Chinese dancing, cormorant fishing performances and a gourmet festival.
After more than 10 years, the annual event has become a cultural festival combining flowers, art, folk customs and food, according to the organizer.
