A total of 115 companies from Jinan are participating in China's largest trade fair in Guangzhou in an attempt to tap more markets and improve brand images.
The 125th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is taking place in Guangzhou, capital city of East China's Guangdong province from April 15 to May 5.
The spring session of the biannual fair set up 60,651 booths booked by 25,500 enterprises from 210 countries and regions during its three phases.
The Jinan delegation and the Laiwu delegation from Jinan city has booked 183 booths and 28 booths respectively with 93 Jinan companies and 22 Laiwu companies eager to display a wide range of products covering electrical equipment, hardware, food, medical supplies and medical health products.
Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Guangdong provincial government, the fair has been held every spring and autumn since 1957 and is China's oldest, largest, and most important international trade event.
By the 124th Canton Fair, the event had reached a total value of $1.36 trillion in exports and attracted 8.61 million overseas purchasers.
