Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province issued the first IoT license plate for electric bicycles in China on April 15.
The new plate puts the traditional plate, driving license and certificate of vehicle owner into a single online platform, according to Ge Feibo, a senior partner of Zhejiang Newdun Network Technology Co, co-developer of the new license plate.
Based on emerging technologies in the field of the Internet of things, such as graphene materials, military-grade encryption algorithms, and information remote reading, the IoT license plate will record the wheel path and unlawful acts of e-bikes more precisely and will also be integrated into the smart city system in the near future.
