A job fair was held in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, on April 16, with the goal of providing locals with new job opportunities and reducing poverty.
More than 1,600 vacant positions at 400 companies were on offer at the event, which was attended by nearly 6,400 people seeking jobs in manufacturing, agriculture, computing, communications, education, and finance.
Approximately 2,200 jobseekers signed employment contracts with companies at the fair.
The job fair allowed jobseekers and employees to meet face to face, helping improve efficiency and cutting employment costs, said Zhang Jingping, manager assistant of Yuanda Ishikawa Island Agricultural Machinery (Shenyang) Co Ltd.
