A half marathon that kicked off in Xianlin of Jiangsu province's Nanjing attracted 12,000 runners from 32 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Australia, Italy, and Ethiopia on April 14.
The event is jointly organized by the Chinese Athletic Association, local government and Nanjing Xianlin University's town management committee.
Participants were competed on a 21-kilometer course that could best showcase Xianlin's cultural and ecological environment and unique charm.
Stephen Kipkemboi Sitienei and Chemaimak Susy Cehbet from The Republic of Kenya finished the race in 01:03:16 and 01:15:47, and both came out on top in the men's and women's group, respectively.
