Guizhou cooperates with UK on tourism management education

A cooperation project setting up a bachelor degree program in tourism management by Guizhou University, Guizhou province, and the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom was recently approved by the Ministry of Education.

It is the second international education cooperation program that Guizhou University has established after teaming with the University of Quebec in Canada to establish a master degree program in project management in 2002.

The project is included in the National Higher Education Admission Scheme, which means that students need to take part in the National College Entrance Examination before applying for the program.

The program will enroll 120 students per year from 2019 to 2023. It is a four year program, which means enrolled students have the choice of either studying at Guizhou University for the first three years and then spending the last year at the University of Lincoln or they can study at Guizhou University for the full four years.

Those who study at the University of Lincoln will receive certificates of a bachelor's degree from both University of Lincoln and Guizhou University, and a graduation certificate from Guizhou University.

Students who study at Guizhou University will receive certificate of graduation and a bachelor's degree from Guizhou University only.
