Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) Group, a large-scale state-owned enterprise famous for its cultural and tourism projects, held a brand conference in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 11.
OCT plans to build a cultural tourism complex in Yangzhou, with a total of six sections, including dream city, happy water world and beautiful countryside, among others. The complex aims to turn Yangzhou's culture into a tourist attraction.

The complex will be based on the metro area encompassing the Jiangsu cities of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Yangzhou, and will follow the strategy of "culture + tourism + urbanization" in a bid to build a new landmark demonstrating China's achievements in new urbanization, according to Zu Feng, leader of the preparatory group of OCT Yangzhou.
Founded in 1985, OCT Group is best known for its cultural and tourism projects such as Happy Valley, Splendid China Folk Village, and Window of the World.
