People’s Hospital of Quzhou
Founded in 1948, the People’s Hospital of Quzhou is a tertiary hospital located in Zhejiang province. It holds the highest grade in China’s three-tier hospital grading system. Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Zhejiang University are universities affiliated to the hospital.
The hospital covers 99 mu (6.6 hectares) and has 1,102 inpatient beds. There are five academic centers with more than 30 clinical wards and 50 outpatient clinics; and the hospital specializes in 60 different areas including vascular surgery, urology, critical care medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, oncology, laboratory diagnostics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, radiology and respiratory medicine.
The hospital currently has more than 2,000 employees, with one member of staff enjoying a special allowance from the State Council, two holding senior titles, and 54 rated as senior municipal doctors.
There are two branches at the facility –– one in Kecheng district and the other in Qujiang district.
In addition, a new branch located in the western part of the city is under construction. The branch project has an area measuring 357,800 square meters which is divided into two phases. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2021, providing 2,000 new inpatient beds.
