The 2019 China Changchun International Automobile Expo will be held in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, in July.
Initiated in 1999, the expo has been held 15 times and has developed into one of five major auto shows in China. It operates in a market-oriented manner and insists on government guidance. It highlights internationalization, specialization, and informationization, as well as new energy and technology.
During last year's expo, a total of 1,380 cars, including 148 new energy vehicles, from 150 auto brands including FAW, FAW-Volkswagen, Benz, BMW, and Rolls-Royce, participated in the exhibition.
This year, carmakers from Germany, the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries will participate in the event to showcase their latest products and cutting-edge technology.
The event is expected to boost the development of Changchun's auto sector, as well as drive economic growth in sectors such as tourism, logistics, energy, and insurance.
Due to the China FAW Group Corporation, Changchun has been dubbed the "cradle of China's automobiles", and it is well on its way to becoming a world-renowned automobile hub.
