Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province is set to build a sports car town together with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, according to the signing ceremony held on April 9.
With an investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.49 billion), the new town will cover an area of 3,220 mu (214.67 hectares) and be constructed in two phases in five years.
The sports car town will include five major areas of different functions, namely, racing track, automobile research and development, automobile repacking, motor maintenance, and entertainment.
After it's put into service, the project is expected to host more than 20 motor racing events and attract over 1.5 million tourists each year, offering strong power to the construction of a national sports park in Quzhou.
