The press conference for "Growing Together with Hainan" Tourism & Culture International Image Promotional Event was held in Haikou on April 4 to show off the development and changes in Hainan and enhance its international reputation.

The event was hosted by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province.

Department Director Sun Ying said that Hainan's construction of its pilot free trade zone and free trade port with Chinese characteristics provided many new opportunities for more international cooperation. The province welcomes people with lofty ideals to invest in and travel to Hainan and help it work towards building an international tourism consumption center with a more open and inclusive attitude.

To further enhance international promotions, Hainan will dispatch delegations to five major tourist markets, namely the Russian language market, the Japanese and Korean market, the Southeast Asian market, the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan market, and the Australian, New Zealand, European and American market, to carry out over 30 tourism and cultural exchange events. It will also promote itself through the International Music Promotion Conference in France and Germany, which will enhance Hainan's image and raise its profile.
